“For the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have sent you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be salvation to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 13 v 47)
Surrender to the Sender of all that is holy.
Let Him, as Three, an almighty Trinity,
Working totally with love and mercy,
Assess you, address you, possess you.
Open up the window of your soul and spirit.
Open up the doorway of your heart and conscience.
Seek a fresh start in all holiness.
For this you will need the Spirit of Jesus,
He who is co-equally the Spirit of God Almighty.
The Saviour develops our sanctity,
As He works with both our heart and mind,
Until we find we want to be consecrated
To all the life of the Lord Jesus as offered us.
Jesus comes to us as the living Word of God,
That satan no longer rides slop shod over us.
“Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord.” (Acts 13 v 48)
Jesus’ victory was at the † of Calvary,
Setting us free from condemnation, offering salvation.
Jesus comes to possess us by the Spirit of holiness,
That we, as family, live by the light of truth.
The life of the Spirit is one of goodness,
A complete holiness freely, graciously offered us.
We are called to dethrone ourself,
To make room to exalt Jesus, living in us.
That is the godly life of hope, of peace, of joy,
Whenever we employ the Spirit to guide us.
Also to guard us from all that is evil,
Graced to become more and more like Jesus,
He who is the answer to all the needs of the world.
“And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.” (Acts 13 v 48)
“ ‘Whoever offers praise glorifies Me, and to him (her) who orders his (her) conduct aright I will show the salvation of God’.” (Psalm 50 v 23)
Let us then, “By the mercies of God, present on bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service.” (based on Romans 12 v 1)
May the Holy Spirit help us daily to apply holy teaching to everything we face and need to undergo, in order to let holy love flow and be experienced by as many as is possible.
Can we reach the level of faith whereby we can say in all sincerity, “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2 v 2) We are saved by grace, thank
You for this free gift in Jesus.
What hope, peace and joy we experience as and when we surrender our life to the Lord Jesus, doing this daily.
As we pray, let us offer to the Lord Jesus, our Divine Healer and Saviour, all that happens each day, to be united with the divine heart of our Saviour Brother.
May our thoughts be pleasing to You, dearest Father, as we learn to depend upon Jesus as Lord, Word and Master, as well as Saviour. Jesus is the One closest to Your Father heart of love, continuously. By holy love
Jesus will save us from sinfulness.
Thank You for the gain of eternal light, wisdom and truth in Jesus, by the Spirit as we come to better understand Your love and mercy so freely given us, Lord God. This is the beauty of holiness, gifted in Jesus,
graced by the Spirit, blessed by You, Father God.
May all believers ever be a credible sign of Your love upon earth, Lord God of light and glory. Make Yourself known to all people through Your Son, by Your Spirit. In them, by them, through them, let us consecrate our heart of love to You, Lord God.
Let our heart be holy, our mind, our will, our conscience too, that we fear nothing other than upsetting, disappointing or offending You by our thoughts, words or deeds. Forgive us when we do.
Lord of mercy, show us this mercy when in the examination of our conscience, we sorrow for our failures, those entrenched patterns of faults which trip us up. We need Your continuous grace to deal with these and make progress.
May we build our life on the wisdom and truth we hear in the gospel message of hope, of peace, of the joy we share in the love of Jesus, when animated by the Holy Spirit of appreciation. May our self awareness grow, so as to be cleansed and be made holy.
Ever be to us the Trinity of assurance and consolation in the face of disappointment. Let setbacks not be failures which pull us down or cause us to doubt our faith and Your goodness, but stepping stones to better progress.
It is the glorious light of the Lord Jesus’ resurrected presence which convinces us of Your love for us, Father God. For this light offers us spiritual good growth in the Spirit as we learn to really trust and depend upon You and all You do. Truly, fully wondrous is the effect in the presence of Jesus, as Lord, Saviour, Word and Master within our midst. Thank You for this rich, rich blessing of grace, a fine, fine favour.
May our friendship with the Lord Jesus be ever fruitful, most beautiful in outcome as we heed His Spirit, Your Spirit, of love and forgiveness. We must forgive each and every offence against us, or else we cannot
worship.
Thank You for the honour of making all believers a part of the vine which is Jesus, an offshoot able to bear much fruit in acts of loving service done in the reverence of obedience. Lord it is Your wisdom which says
“Give Me your heart and let your eyes observe My ways.” (Proverbs 23 v 26)
But we know it is the Trinity behind such wise words guiding and safeguarding us. I ask that the Spirit helps us to remember who is the source of life, who we must turn to for wise help. Thank You that Jesus
never fails us, nor ever abandons us.
Freedom of choice shaped by such holy help is real freedom, offering us peace of heart in doing what we know is correct. Thank You for sharing godly intentions and gifting us the capacity to be a co-worker.
We trust all will be well when we work in the name of Jesus, realising this may take a time, and be found in ways the world would not champion, ways of self-denial.
Each day shaped for a specific purpose, let us hand over the reigns of control, first thing in the morning doing as the Spirit asks of us, always rejoicing to be promoting the name of Jesus, lovingly.
Thank You that our Lord and Saviour’s resurrected life is open to all who believe in Him, accepting Jesus as the King of Glory, set over all mankind. He is the light which reveals a true love for us, Your love, holy
Father. This love animates and thrills us. Thank You so much.
Formed for the sake of love, may love be the essence of all we think, decide, do and say, committed to our King, serving through Him as directed by the Spirit, held securely by the very love we proclaim and try to promote.
Oh to see many more healed and made whole in the name of the Lord Jesus. This must become our ardent wish and a determined purpose selflessly undertaken. Let us remain open to the Spirit of love.
Let us be sanctified by being united to the infinite merits of our Saviour, who tells us He came “ ‘Not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance’” (based on Luke 5 v 32) which must mean all of us, not one
exception.
Let us make reparation for faults and failings by daily expressing our sorrow and remorse, resolved of course, to do better in the future. Thank You for the mercy we meet even in the face of disastrous failures.
“I ask for myself and those dear to me, the grace to fulfil perfectly Your holy will,” Lord God, Son of God, Spirit of God, “To accept for love of You the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may one day be united together in heaven for all eternity. Amen.” (St Thérèse of Lisieux)
